What is clearing and how can it benefit you?
Results day is intense and stressful for everyone and if you haven’t got a place on the course that you had your heart set on, it can be really upsetting. It can often feel like you are alone and you might even feel a little lost, but clearing is a great solution to secure you a place at a University.
Clearing call centres arm the phones and speak to around 80,000 students across the country to help find them a place at university. There is usually a solution and although it might seem really scary and uncertain at the time a lot of students describe clearing as a blessing in disguise!
You will be eligible to use clearing if one of the following applies to you:
you’re applying to go to University after 30 June
you didn’t receive any offers (or none that you wanted to accept)
you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers
