The city prides itself on its rich history and its beautiful scenery, so why not take up walking around the picturesque streets this January in the spirit of becoming more mindful this year. You may even find yourself discovering parts of the city you didn't know existed! Lancaster is full of hidden gems all of which are rich with history.
Culture
For those who are passionate about the arts, Dukes is the City’s main theatre and cinema and has fantastic reviews, so why not see what’s on there this January? Just a short trip from your Lancaster student accommodation, is the opportunity to watch some exclusive shows as well as the latest blockbusters.
Exploring
If exploring is more your thing and you want to take up getting more in touch with nature this year, Lancaster has some fantastic places for you and your Bailrigg Student Living flatmates to go walking. The perfect trail to follow is without a doubt along the canal (which runs past our Lancaster student accommodation) where you can take a break or grab a bite to eat in one of a number of pubs along the way.
Hibernation
Bailrigg student accommodation is fully equipped for those cosy winter days, so if you don’t feel like going out in the cold why not give the student accommodation gym a go and ignite a passion in fitness this new year. If you’re a fan of history or even of the unusual, there are a lot of places to visit which might spark your interest. The Lancaster Maritime Museum is a perfect place to investigate some hidden histories, and with free admissions for Lancaster residents, it’s a great place to do something different and discover things about your new home that you might not have known before! If you are passionate about craft beer on the other hand, the Lancaster Brewery might be the place for you, with tours from just £12 it’s an affordable way to spend a cold Sunday afternoon with your Bailrigg flatmates.
